The lightening gel is then activated by a specially designed intense light that is focused on your teeth. It takes only one hour in our office and includes a fluoride treatment and a an optional take-home touch up kit for future touch-ups. We have personally had amazing results with the Zoom! system, ranging from 8-14 shades lighter on the shade guide. Our patients often ask us, "what is the difference in the whitening procedures?" Zoom! is the quickest, most effective, and most convenient way to whiten your teeth for maximum results in one hour. Bravo! can provide similar results but it takes longer and the whitening agent is not as strong as Zoom! (1-2 weeks). Bravo! is also less expensive than Zoom! Crest White Strips can whiten your teeth but the results are not as effective as Zoom! or Bravo! Yet, the strips are an inexpensive way to brighten up your smile. Whitening toothpastes, on the other hand, do not actually whiten your teeth. They contain an abrasive to clean off the plaque and superficial stain, but do not penetrate the enamel.
